I have a compelling desire to create. I look forward in expressing myself through the inventive use of new and exciting materials, colors and textures
I have had a great need in my life to be creative for as long as I can remember. My retirement in 2002 has offered me more freedom and time. After moving to Oregon from Southern California, I started taking watercolor classes and met a wonderful group of friends, supporters and fellow artists. With their encouragement I have entered and been juried into many art shows. I won an honorable mention and a first place award at Oregon State University’s Annual Cultural Exhibit. I have participated in several workshops given by recognized artists. In October 2011, I was accepted into the Watercolor Society of Oregon. My love for painting has led me to another media, painting in acrylics.
