JUDY NIGH

artist bio
I am a native of Northern California and moved to Oregon in 1990 with my husband and  3  children. When the last child moved away from home in 2003, I retired and started my new journey in art.  I consider myself fortunate to live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest where I see and hear   things every day that are worth remembering and recording for others to appreciate.
I reside with my husband in Roseburg Oregon where I am co owner of Gallery Northwest.
I am an  active member of Umpqua Valley Art Association, International Society of Experimental Artists and signature member of Watercolor Society of Oregon. I’m proud to say I have won awards on both a state and international level.
I’ve had basic instruction in watercolor and am self taught in oil and acrylic.
My watercolor  paintings are fairly realistic to capture the beauty of what I see and want to share with others. My  oils and acrylics are pure expression of my emotions and come from within…
